The club was formed in some haste at a meeting held 20 April 1900 at the old Club Hotel - where the Orient Hotel now stands in High Street.

The South Fremantle Football Club has one of the most historic, iconic and recognisable home grounds in the competition, Fremantle Oval. South Fremantle Football Club shares its ground with the Fremantle Dockers. Along with Fremantle's new state of the art facilities, the South Fremantle Club compliments these with our already impressive gymnasium, change rooms (including sauna), medical and treatment room. Along without social rooms and function areas which we believe makes our player facilities the most impressive available to WAFL players.

Location
The oval is a 50m walk to the famous cappuccino strip, which not only has some of the best coffees in the world, but is also well known for it’s eating and entertainment areas. Along with the Fremantle Markets being directly across the road, the closest beach is a 1km jog. Fremantle Oval has everything you may need at your fingertips.

Tradition
The South Fremantle Football Club has a long and rich tradition from the first premiership in 1916 to the celebrations of 100 years of football in April 2000. The club has won 13 Premierships in its time and produced 9 Sandover Medalists. For the full history of The South Fremantle Football Club visit the History Page.

On Field
The South Fremantle Football Club is without doubt one of the oldest and proudest clubs not only in Western Australia but also Australia. In the past five years the club has won 4 premierships across Reserves and Colts grades to affirm its status as having one of the best development systems in Australia.

The South Fremantle Football Club sets a high standard for on field and off field achievements seeking finals football as a minimum requirement each year for all its teams.

The South Fremantle Guernsey is made up of an all-white strip with a prominent red V symbolising the club's quest for victory.
