Found on the historic Vancouver Street in Albany the Vancouver Arts Centre is the region’s key focal point for arts experiences. With three galleries and numerous workshop spaces it offers an inclusive and diverse annual program of arts activities and experiences for anyone aged 2 to 102.The centre coordinates and hosts touring and local exhibitions artists in residence interactive and engaging ArtSpaces adult and children’s workshops community projects and a range of diverse events on its own and in partnership with others.  The centre is home to a number of active arts and craft groups and artists and is well used by the local community whilst at the same time warmly welcoming all visitors through its doors.Built in 1887 and designed by architect George Temple Poole the sandstone brick building originally served as the Albany Cottage Hospital until 1962.
